On Monday 21 May Irene Kamp will defend her PhD thesis "Comfortable Car Interiors - Experiments as a basis for car interior design contributing to the pleasure of the driver and passengers". The defense will take place at 15.00 in the Senaat room of the TU Delft Aula and the Laymen’s talk starts at 14.30.

It is time for Summercue again and this year under the theme IOlympics! All known Olympic sports will be transformed into student sports. Teams will compete in IOlympic ‘rugbeer’, slalom and other sports. After all the exercise you can recover with the barbecue and we conclude the evening with the traditional party!

For three days there will be several RSI related activities around the faculty of IDE. Anna Woltz (30 May) and Diederick van den Berg (31 May) will tell inspiring stories about preventing RSI, from 12:45 to 13:45 in the Wim Crouwel room.

On Thursday 31 May, Prof. Larry Leifer from Stanford University will give a research lecture at our faculty with the title “Dancing with Ambiguity. Design thinking in action, theory from practice.” The research lecture will take place from 15:45 to 17:00 in the Van der Grinten hall.

On Friday June 1st 2012, the seventh ZOMERfestival will be held in the grounds of Sport & Culture. In this special anniversary year, the Zomerfestival will cater to a wider audience and be accessible to at least 6,000 visitors. TU Delft will celebrate its 170th birthday with a party that will appeal to the entire TU Delft community, and the residents of Delft and its surroundings areas.
